riding the year and its tides

My debut poetry zine, Yeartides, contains musings and photographs spanning a decade. Throughout that time, I lived in Southern California with my Pomeranian, Simba, and after that, spent nearly two years in a 1995 Dodge conversion campervan. That freedom led me across the country and across the world.
After meeting friends around the globe and both coasts of America, I finally landed in Richmond, Virginia. I rooted myself in this gem of a city just in time to meet my partner, get pregnant, buy a house, and get married during a global pandemic.
Now settled down with two incredible kids, that same fluffy pup (who is a bit grumpier these days), and a bonus dog, my husband, Chris, and I live near the banks of the James River in RVA. My writings range from silly to super serious and reflect the full breadth of my experiences: overlaying the grace of learning from loss and healing from trauma against the weight and beauty of parenting in the present day.
